Norton system works

This is the worsted program. I was using it on one of the older machines and now wasted several hours After many problems with it I uninstalled it. I got a error message on boot up that it needed a sysmantec program to run. I went into the reg. and clean out the sysmantec references. I went to win.ini did the same ; still it is there. I think that this is now some sort of spy ware. It may be called sometime else but it is spyware under my definition Does anyone know under a win98 Os how to get rid of the boot up error message that reads did you unistall sysmantec program it is needed please see win.ini file or change in reg. ( why this is necessary shows how bad the program was written there is never any reason for this unistaller should have removed it)

Try your config.sys file (less likely) or your autoexec bat file (more likely). There will probably be an entry in there that needs to be removed.
