It is Bosch's (a.k.a. Radionics') version of what Honeywell (a.k.a. Ademco) calls a SIM (except with Bosch you have to add an 8125 module to connect the popit loop). There are regular single popits and octopopits.

It's a module used to connect a conventional sensor to an addressable loop.
