I have an old 2503 router with a serial interface and an ethernet interface. I came across a T1 WIC with integrated DSU/CSU -- it appears the part number is WIC-1DSU-T1. The IOS does not recognize the card when I boot up. Can this card be used in a 2503? IOS version is 12.0.23

System bootstrap is 11.3(2) if that helps.
How in the world are you plugging the WIC card into a router that doesn't have WIC slots?

the 2524 had three slots, not the new style WIC but a little larger but looks similar.
