Guys n gal's how do I get a show version out of this unit...it does not let me do one...do I have to hold the mode buton or something?

Methinks you dropped a digit from the middle of your part #. Maybe AIR-AP1220B-A-K9?
This could run either VxWorks or IOS. What does the terminal attached to your console show?
