NAPCO in Canada.

I have to ask this question of NAPCO on here as the Rep. for Western Canada has been let go...

and it has been now over 4 years and no call back from Dave Sheffey.

What are you thinking??? You start to gain market share in Vancouver, then dump the guy that did it for you.

What next dump all the independents that distribute your product for one National distributor?

Good luck.

You've been waiting on a call back for four years? Man, you're a patient guy... :^)

You don't need to establish an account with Napco -- just one of their distributors?

Here's a list:

If you don't already have access to Napco's online support, call their US facility at 800-645-9445 and press 1 twice for tech support.

They sell through ADI-Burtek, Graybar, Swisco and Tri-Ed.

Is ADI-Burtek the same as ADI? If so then you are mistaken. Napco fired ADI a few years ago. I mostly buy Napco from SGI, and Alarmax. With SGI having slightly better pricing and service. I had heard that Tri-Ed was going to pickup Napco, but had not seen anything from them about it recently.

ADI bought out Burtek. They decided to maintain the relationship with Napco though. I asked a Burtek salesman in the Vancouver branch and he says yes, they still carry Napco.

These things have a way of changing over time. For example, ADI now carries ELK Products. Years ago they refused to carry it because Wade Moose owns Systems Depot -- an ADI competitor.

I never worked with SGI but I knew Alarmax many years ago. They were OK then. According to Napco Tri-Ed does carry their stuff. We got bad customer service from Tri-Ed and I finally dropped them a few years ago.

Yep, Napco told ADI to stick it. ADI wanted a percentage to shelve the product. Some stayed and paid, some hiked it.

ADI was having trouble paying their bills too.

They consolidated some of their branches here in south Florida. They still have a big presents here but did close up job on some stores. They don't seem to stock as much either. It seems that everything is two days away now.
