That's making a hell of an asumption, ain't it. It was on a quality ups, though i can't remember the brand. It blew the ups, and the comnputer through the phone line.
I don't really want to have to leave the computer running all the time just to recieve faxes anyway, but thanks for the suggestion

if the ups blew up then nothing could have prevented the computer of blowing conected to the phone line or not..
