I've been using a very inexpensive pay service called 'FAX It Nice' at

. They have a variety of plans. You can send and receive faxes for a few cents a fax. They have plans for you to have your own toll-free fax number. They email the faxes to you as PDFs.They have a secure client so that you can initiate faxes from your desktop. laptop, or you can do it from the Web.
I tried the Efax service. They kept cutting off my service each time my SPAM protection kicked out some piece of advertising they sent you. Getting those SPAM messages are they way you pay for the service.
Try FAX It Nice. I think you'll like it.
