DSC Maxsys PC4020 v3.4SX

I have the downloader software installed for downloading this system
however, I cannot find the driver for the software on the DSC website. DSC
Tech support has said it is available from the Simplex/Tyco website.
Searched there with no luck. If anyone possibly has a link to where this
version can be downloaded it would be much appreciated. I have DLS 2002 SP2
installed and the only near-match support for downloading is the 4020 v3.3
and 3.5. Thanks for any info provided.

I don't think there is a regular version with that firmware. You may have some test mule panel. If it isn't to much of a BETA board then you could change the chip to 3.5. The chips aren't any big expense.

Thanks for your reply. After further digging I finally spoke to our Simplex rep and he said its a propriatary chip for Simplex only and that the driver for DLS is not publically available. Its a MaxSys PC4020A, and the chip can be changed without further operation problems? This chip is socketed on the board.

I have changed the chips in many PC 4020s. However I have not "upgraded" a panel other than over the counter types. It won't cost you much to find out if it works or not.
