Heh, they aren't little kids. They can fend for themselves. I just like the idea of ladies in an unprotected home.
This is a real good question, for upgrading the old 900MHz stuff. There is a module required that allows a second receiver to be used, though you are still limited to 32 zones.

You're right, I have used the new keyfobs and smokes, just not their new receivers. js
I've used the Street Smart receiver on the same system as a DSC receiver a couple of times, no trouble. js
That is correct, it was in beta just a few months ago, why it took them 5 years to come out with it is beyond me
Actually you may have used the Secure Wireless keyfobs since they now make all of DSC's keyfobs, and smoke detectors and some door sensors..
I like the look and feel of those fobs
Actually it might be a problem if you already have a receiver since the Street Smart emulates a PC5132 receiver
The DSC receiver connects directly to the panel's databus, much like a keypad is connected. The Napco receiver connects to various voltage outputs to sense the system's status and to a "keyswitch" zone to cause the panel to arm/disarm.
