RF55001-433 keypad and PC5132 on PC1555MX

Hello all,

I need assistance. I currently have a Power632 system connected with a RF5501-433 keypad/built-in receiver. I am now trying to connect a PC5132 wireless interface to have better reception around the house but when I attempt to download to it the DLS 2002 software tells me that the interface is not enrolled. Can they both work together? Is it possible to connect this module and disable the receiver portion of the keypad? Do I need to get a different keypad? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Why would you need an extra reciever? that keypad should be fine in almost any house under 2500 square feet. Unless you have concrete walls. But as for the keypad and the reciever together im not sure ive never tried to hook both up at once. Ill check and see

I don't think you can use them together, DSC has the 5320 module for connecting multiple receivers to the same system, but they issued a tech bulletin saying that it is not for use with the RF5501-433 or LCD5501-433 keypads. Having said that before that bulletin was issued I had used a 5320 module with a LCD5501-433 keypad and a 5132 receiver without any apparent ill effects, but its not recomended.

Too bad he can't disable the keypad receiver and use the 5132, better reception.
