ADT Focus 32 - No Codes need help!!

Feb 28, 2008 10 Replies

Hello,

I recently bought a house with an ADT Focus 32 system installed, unfortunately they didn't provide us with any of the master or access codes. I've tried the installer codes 7621 and 2127 and they don't work. After powering the system off and turning it back on, I did hear relays so it might be locked out. I accidently hit the quick arm when trying to get it to stop beeping and now its armed and getting set off with no way to stop it so I just unplugged both the AC and battery.

Does anyone know a way I can get to the master code or another way to reset the system?

Power system down

Connect wire from zone 1 to PGM 1

Power up, wait 10 seconds.

If the relay clicks now - it's locked out. Else, It's defaulted to factory presets (power down, remove jumper).

Now you have to reprogram the whole thing from scratch.

Do not perform the above unless you're sure you can reprogram the system yourself, I can guarantee no one here is going to hold your hand through the whole process.

Ummm... Graham... He states that he heard the relay's "click" on powerup. That means the panels locked. ADT probably "owns" it. He should contact ADT and go from there.

I assumed it was trying to dial out since it is in alarm, he didn't describe a rapid click. Even if ADT 'owns' it, they ain't comin' back for it. My next recommendation rather than contact ADT would be to replace the board.

Yep. That's the next step alright...

a five pound hammer properly placed on the printed circuit board should do the trick quite nicely..

Not if the board's not RoHS compliant. Then you'll fling lead chips all over the place which will raise the ire of the local environ mental-cases. You don't want to go there.
