Could an IOS developed for 2611XM fit well on a 2611? Perhaps I will not use all the features and I will have some errors about hardware not recognized or missed but that developed for XM has come to 12.4 whilst the normal is still on 12.3.15.

Just one question: why do you need 12.4? Which features do you use that are not in IOS 12.3.15? I'm just curious...
To be sure not to have limits using IOS commands, but perhaps diifferences are quite few :)

If it fits into the available RAM on the machine then yes, it will work.
