2611 and 3620 memory issue.

Fianlly I found out which compatible memory modules could fit well on my

26100and 3620 routers, namely KCS-F2600 / 16 and KCS-F3600 / 16 Just one doubt: Cisco memory calculator tells me that my 3620 can accept only 16 Mb Flash having 2x 8Mb modules, but I found only 16 Mb are sold. Could this be a problem? Or the only "problem" will be that router will not see all the flash total memory (16 out of 32)? Do I need to buy 2 modules (as each slot can recognize only 8Mb) or just one?

The same for 2611...

Has anyone experienced what I'm talking about and give me a response?

TIA,

Alex.

To tell you the truth, Cisco isn't all that grand about telling you what memory does or doesn't work in their routers.

3rd party memory vendors OTOH are great about this sort of thing. Crucial/Kingston/Memory-X (I like the last one best) all have very nice descriptions of what the memory banks and layout of the memory inside each platform actually is and what it can take.
