Cisco 1751: %Software-forced reload

I'm having problem after installing MEM1700-16D= to Cisco 1751. There are two(2) images in the flash:/ 12.2 and 12.3

I tried to test this RAM in 2600, but NO MEMORY DETECTED.

%Software-forced reload

After "%Software-forced reload", the router freeze. Can't do anything from the console anymore.

Rebooted, BREAK to ROMMON.

boot system flash failed.

Do anybody knows what's going on?

izzit the 12.3 IOS corrupted or my RAM problem? I don't have another Cisco 1751 to test. Please assist.

If it worked ok before you put the RAM in it then it would indicate the RAM is faulty.

I've finally bring it up, but still not satisfied coz there's still some error, but no memory faulty.

Hi,

Yup its complaining because it wants more memory thats all. Get some more memory or get the broken memory replaced.
