Bandwith control on a 4006?

Hi guys,

is a there a way to limit the bandwidth on a switch port? I don't want to do QoS just to restrict whatever flows through a port to a specific limit. The switch is Cisco 4006.

TIA

Alex.

Uhmmmm... it's for 2900/3500 series.....

Anyway I can set the limit in packets per seconds. So keeping the maximum size of a packet as 1500 bytes I need only to divide the bandwidth by that number*8, i.e. 12000.

Now I only need to find how to do that on a 4006.

Thanks, you gave me a good point from where to get started.
