3750 IOS Upgrade

Hi im trying to update the IOS on a Catalyst 3750



I have installed a tftp server on my laptop which is connected directly into port 1 - VLAN 1 of the switch



Laptop Settings: 192.168.1.10, 255.255.255.0



Catalyst Switch - 192.168.1.20 255.255.255.0



I can ping the switch from the laptop, but not the laptop from the switch. Although I can see the IP and mac of the laptop in the arp cache of the switch



I have erased and reloaded from scratch etc..



Would appreciate any advice where i might be going wrong

Hi,

sounds like the Windows XP firewall is enabled on the laptop.

Whats the error message? is it"Destination Unreachable"?? I don't think so. If it is "Request Timed out", its probably the firewall as Jens said.
