switch / ping

Aug 11, 2005 1 Replies

My router 877 has 4-port switch. Interfaces fa0 to fa3 has the same settings no ip address no cdp enable

and VLAN 1 has interface Vlan1 description $ETH-SW-LAUNCH$$INTF-INFO-HWIC 4ESW$$ES_LAN$$FW_INSIDE$ ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 ip nat inside ip virtual-reassembly ip route-cache flow ip tcp adjust-mss 1452

My two PCs connecting fa 0 and fa 1 have ip 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3 ( from DHCP of this router ). These two PCs can ping 192.168.1.1, can go to the Internet but they can not see each other.

From the router, I can not ping either of them.

There is no firewall on either PC or the router.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Ahh ... and the answer is : it is the VPN Client installed on these two PCs has the option "Stateful Firewall" on.

It seems a PC now has two many firewalls :)
