2621 XM

Feb 04, 2006 1 Replies

I have a Cisco 2621XM router and the maximum RAM it will recognize it 64 MEG. I have up graded the BOOT ROM to support 256 MEG. When the router comes up, it sees the memory but if there is anymore than 64 MEG Ethernet

0/0 will not come up and Ethernet 0/1 doesn't even show up.

ANY IDEAS???

David

David,

Have you upgraded memory on your own? Where did you get the memory? Is it "cisco memory" or third part?

Different Cisco routers use different memory type. Same memory module may work in one router and do not work in another. Try to find "recommended" memory (even third part DIMM), but let it be "special memory for Cisco

26xxXM router).

Good luck,

Michael
