Can a PIX 515E with the following configuration upgraded to 128 MB of RAM?

Hardware: PIX-515E, 64 MB RAM, CPU Pentium II 433 MHz Flash E28F128J3 @ 0xfff00000, 16MB BIOS Flash AM29F400B @ 0xfffd8000, 32KB

To clarify my question: I read here:

in order to be able to upgrade the memory of a PIX-515E from 64MB to 128MB it has to have either Unrestricted or Failover license. Is this so or have I misunderstood something?

Thank you! Did you just remove the installed memory and install a regular SD RAM yourself? Because there is no option to order 256 MB memory through cisco.

of course not. 8-)

PIX 515 (or 515E in your case ) is the (more or less) Intel pentium based PC. It supports up to 256M of RAM.

Memory module has to have low density chips. In other words - you need two PC-133 non-ECC 8-chip 128MB modules
