Wireless works-Wired doesn't work

I have a Belkin F5D7230-4 wireless router/hub. (I have learned that these have a lot of problems). Before I give up and buy another one, could someone please take a look at this and give some suggestions/advice:

Wirless computers work fine.,

A computer or device (print server) directly connected with an ethernet cable will obtain an IP address from the router's DHCP server. I can see this on the router and on the computer. But these wired devices have no connectivity I cannot ping anything (not even the router) from them and I cannot ping them from other connected devices.

Even my laptop will work wireless, but directly plugged in I cannot connect to anything even though I obtain an IP address from the router.

Thanks -

Jim
