SMC 7004AWBR wireless router stop responding to http?

I have a SMC 7004AWBR wireless router/print server that all of a sudden, stop working. After I did a factory reset, it sort of works -- I can use the internet wirelessly using default settings (DHCP server works), but it does not respond to http://192.168.2.1, so I cannot configure it. However, it responds to pings at 192.168.2.1.



I suspect http requests are handled by a separate chip inside this router that chip went bad for some reason.



Is there a solution or do I just have to trash it?

I have the same router. Try http://192.168.2.1:88/ it works for me.
