The TA specs say it will drive "one telephone", but I need to drive three (REN of 0.7B , 0.7B, AND 1.0b) - might it work if on one ringer is turned ON?! What will give way first? - RM

True. Also keep in mind that while 1 REN equated to a mechanical bell on an old

500 set, most electronic ringers are in the range of 0.2 to 0.3. The other factor is the ability to drive audio for multiple offhook phones. Again, newer phones are a bit more effecient, but that might be a factor.

Once or twice, maybe. You could damage the IP box by overtaxing the driver. Depends on how bulletproof the IP box design is.

Sorry, I didn't note the original. Generally, if you turn a ringer off the REN is 0. Probably the ring will just get weak if you try to drive too many ringers.
