Own car alarm system

Hello, i want to build own car alarm system. I have seen some scheme based on Microchip, but i'm interesting a more theoretical knowledge about this and your tips and tricks.

Thnx and sorry for my bad english

1) It must be reliable. If it has the capability to stop you using your car, it must work every time. So keep it simple, and build it to last forever. 2) Much of the benefit of a car alarm is lost if the system is a well known arrangement. A hidden switch might be enough! I'd welcome other people's experiences on this particular idea, though. A flashing light is a useful way to stop the non-professional opportunist. 3) You didn't say whether you wanted to prevent entry or just immobilise the car. HTH Jean

If we all drove Jugos, the need for car alarms would be eliminated. :-)

I would like use my own alarm security with one of existing. And main function is immobilise the car and notification by mobile phone, for examle SMS
