The Ademco Vista-21iP has the ability to send alarms via an Internet Protocol. Uploads and downloads can also be done using the AlarmNet Internet Communicator. Is this IP connection pretty much limited to communication with a monitoring service? For example, I'm guessing a DIY can not use the IP feature to send an email message to an SMTP server when an event is triggered, is that correct?
