programming a button on a M7310 to use a speed dial.

Hi,

I have an old Norstar 3x8 and I am trying to program a system speed dial # (41) onto one of the buttons. I can successfully do a F-0-41 and dial the stored #. But When I do a F-*-3, press the desired button, then do a F-0, it immediately programs just the speed dial function to that key, and won't let me put in the 41.

Any ideas for me? Thanks in advance, Anthony

I think you are looking for system speed dials.

If so

1) go into system programming 2) next to "sys speed dial" 3) select a speed dial #, public codes are from 01 to 70

the rest of the prompts are for number, name, line, etc.

After it is programmed any user of your system can do a FEATURE+0 and then choose a speed dial number.

I can't find a way to program a button to a system speed dial. You can only set it to a FEATURE+0 and they would have to know the speed dial number they wanted.
