I have the option on some M3900 series handsets but from what I understand these are only compatible with Meridian 1 systems, but then I read somewhere that BCM supported "M series" handsets, would they work on a BCM?
No! The 'M' series on BCM/Norstar are not cross platform compatable. Sorry..
I could have put that better! Both Meridian and BCM/Norstar have M series phones but they cannot be swapped between platforms. Incidentally the M series on BCM/Norstar are MD being replaced by the T series.
That is correct the M7200 series works with BCM/Norstar and the M3900 series only works with the M1 products. The i series (i2004...) will work with both M1 and BCM if they are configured to use IP sets. There will be hardware and software requirements for both products. Oh yeah, the i sieas can't be used on a Norstar. Good Luck
