VPDN Enable

Dec 01, 2006 3 Replies

Hi,

I have recently upgraded our 7200VXR to IOS 12.3 (the full filename is below)

c7200-pk9u2-mz.123-14.T7.bin

I need to issue the command 'vpdn enable' but it keeps coming back saying 'Invalid Input detected'

I am issuing the command at the config prompt.

I noticed I can do a 'debug vpdn'

What do I need to do to get the command to work? (It used to work on the old IOS but that didn't support the mss clamping we needed)

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Cheers

James

Looks like you have the wrong feature set: 'pk9u2-mz' is a SERVICE PROVIDER image without vpdn support. You need some kind of ENTERPRISE or IP (PLUS) image.

Hmm.. I thought as much ;(

What about:

c7200-ik9s-mz.123-7.T12.bin

would that do it?

Cheers

James

Yes - following the feature navigator, 'ik9s-mz' (IP IPSEC 3DES) includes vpdn support.
