Try using the management port if it is not already in use. The ASA 5520 has
4 built in ports plus 1 management port. There is a GigabitEthernet expansion port for the ASA. Look at it on Cisco's website under products, security, and ASA. There is a nice animating flash presentation showing the expansion modules.
I need one more port for active/active config. can I use the manage port for failover and stateful failover? Interesting.
Thanks aga>Try using the management port if it is not already in use. The ASA 5520 has
sure
by removing the management-only command it can pass traffic like any other interface . The only difference is that it is 10/100.
I don't know about ASA, but with PIX, the stateful failover interface had to be the same speed as the fastest port on the device. in this case, GigEth.
