cable modem, its only going to be the 2 computers linked if ne 1 noes

A wireless router is the one piece of equipment that you need. Be sure to turn on the security features.
By the way, it would be easier to read your posts if you also got a keyboard with punctuation marks and a Shift key for upper case. (:-)
