hi guys i am trying to open any web page from my laptop. It throws an error saying that unable to open the search page. My laptop is connected to internet.can any one solve this problem.

what if the operating system in windows xp
Wouldn't that be a Windows operating system other than Windows 95? Come on, help us out a little here.
and the IP address, mask and gateway are:-
????
HINT: Assuming it's a Windows operating system other than say Windows
95, go to a cmd prompt and type IPCONFIG.David.
Like I said under "HINT: If the operating system is a Windows OS..."
