Wierd Connection

Plug the ethernet cable from the cable modem into the WAN port on the BEFW11S4 router instead of the LAN port. Your laptop is sometimes getting it's DHCP address directly from the cable CMTS and not the BEFW11S4 router. In other words, untangle your ethernet wiring.

Something strange is happending. Linksys 4 port wireless B. Intermittently, when I turn this laptop on (this one is cable) no internet connection. When I check the IP it gives me the IP of my service provider, not the internal IP of 192.168.1.1XX. I turn the router off, turn it back on and it resets ok.

Any thought of what would cause this, maybe time to move up to wireless G.
