DI-524 connection problems

Feb 08, 2008 1 Replies

Trying to connect a Dell Latitude D630 laptop using a Intel(R) Wirless WIFI Link 4965AGN to a DLink DI-524 router. When booting up the laptop, the a message appears in the notification area that a wireless network has been found. Am able to enter the encryption key, but that is as far as the end user gets. When using "ipconfig /all" from the command prompt, the ip address and subnet mask info for the wireless card appear as all zeros.

Any thoughts as to why this laptop/card cannot connect to this DI-524 router?

Sounds like WEP key mismatch. Enter all WEP keys in hex (not characters) to avoid this problem.
