netgear router + cisco ip phone: will ring with pc closed?

hello, can I stay sure that if I close the pc, and the router is UP my cisco ip phone will ring becouse the internet line is up thanks to the router always on?



is all correct?

Yes. (But make sure it rings in the first place, some phones need tweaking to make them ring.) Regards, Martin
