This unit is supposed to be able to be used as a two line by six phone system. I even have Avaya's book that says so. But I cannot get several units to act that way. Get talk battery but no dial tone. I have even had new units come with line cords and power cords. What could be wrong ?
Have seen and worked on one and two card systems, but when I need one it doesn't work.

Thank you. I had seemed to remember something like that. The Partner standalone book only mentions the 206. What made me hopeful was the 1995 issue of the AT&T Sourcebook catalog. Which was selling 206Es as standalones or with a two card carrier. Still do not know what the answer is.
