On the "old toshiba" what is the OS your running??? When you say "windoze" are you saying Win3.1 --- Win98 --- Win98Se --- Win2000 --- WinNT --- or something else. Knowing that would be the start to try and cure the or help with the problem.

Then my first suggestion would be to upgrade to Win98SE. That should help in two ways. One it is with less bugs than Win98 and two if you have some corruption in the OS it should get over written by Win98SE.

Don't bother listing the brand of USB adapter so someone can check if a updated driver is available. Also, please don't include the build # for Win98 because that surely would not help.

don't have adaptour yet. win98secondedition4010.222 A. I can install the program bu t when I start the program in win it says invalid page fault. I am looking now for a 98se disk I used to have around here somewhere....

Ummm, okay. What you wrote sounded like you couldn't get the adapter to work with Win98, not that you couldn't get DL900 to run. Doh!

A page fault is usually caused by a bug in the program OR a faulty memory module.

I'd suggest running Memtest86 to see if your memory is defective.

tried it on another old win 98 laptop and it does the same thing invalid page fault only with different address. think it has something to do with DMA. I gave up and ordered a new dell with a serial port.
