Oh Sh** Moment

Nothing that complicated. forget connections to this industry. Let's just say that non political people who have said they met him never describe him as a nice guy, or friendly guy, or anything similar to those terms. Odd for a political type not to have the ability to at least fake that sort of veneer. Of course he did start off working under Rumsfeld during the Nixon years, so maybe that comes naturally?

Just remember Congress has lower approval ratings now that Bush does.

She is a very polarizing woman with a high negatives (in terms of percentage of voters). It will be interesting to see what happens as the election season continues. Right now it is just a fight among the Democrats to see who comes out on top. When it is general election time I don't think she is going to be my gal. If she doesn't get elected all I can say is poor Bill. He won't have a fresh crop of interns to pick over. Just life with you know who, and she'll make sure there are no term limits.

Well, yes, on both counts.

Commentary.com is a neoconservative online rag dispensing the usual right-wing crap. If you believe them, Bush could easily win a third term.

Nice news yesterday that Gonzalez finally quit. We'll wait until Bush is canned before prosecuting him for lying to Congress. That way there won't be anyone to pardon him. The threat of a long prison sentence should get him squawking and then Rove and Cheney will be indicted.

Or not. :^)

gallop polling is one of the most respected in the world. right wing to you huh. I guess the truth is right wing then. 18% approval for your congressional zeros, ALL TIME LOW.

If you believe them, Bush could easily

considering you morons thought he couldn't win the first term, then the second term, be careful what you ask for.

I thought you'd be too busy still celebrating to post anything about that here for weeks, or if not a few more days at least. I guess all the singing and dancing died out a little earlier than expected this time?

I think the third term for Bush would be okay if Billy and Dubya do it together, alternating days on duty so they don't go past the 10 year max. That way each side could complain, or rejoice, at least every other day. At least that would keep Hillary out of office, except when she is checking under his desk for more wet interns and wetter cigars.

OMG, I hope not. While George W. has performed pooly, I don't think he is evil. Misguided, surounded by sycophants, and wearing blinders at times, maybe, but not evil.

I also cannot see why you would want to replace your imaginary evil with a real one. HRC only has eyes for power. She does not care about this country any more than than the rest of the presidential hopefuls. I also firmly belive that if she is elected the country will only begin to swirl faster down.

Kindly demonstrate evidence supporting this theory.

Same request, please.

I think that several of them actually do care, including Hillary. Obama seems sincere and I'd vote for him if he was nominated. Unfortunately, IMO there's still too much racism in this country, even among Dems, for him to win. That is unfortunate because he's a brilliant politician and a capable leader.

Nonetheless, Hillary has actively pursued things which would benefit NY as a Senator. She is even smarter than her husband. She's also more ethical and more prudent than Bill. Don't get me wrong here. I liked Bill Clinton and I'd support him again if he ran for office. He was one of the best leaders and certainly the most charismatic in American history. His lack of personal morals was his downfall. That's really sad for someone who did so much for the country to be forever tarnished over sex, especially with someone as boring and unattractive as Monica. I mean, what was he thinking?!? :^)

Don't have too. it's my opinion of the queen of socialism and wealth redistribution. If i wanted to get that deep into political mudslinging i'd run for office, or at least go to a alt.political typr forum.

this is just a rabbit chase away from the orginial post.

get caught ranting about something you haven't even read and get nailed with the facts and that's the best you can come up with. typical dumocrat. or like Tommy said the chemo really has fried your brain.

Thank you for clarifying.

But wait. If she's into "wealth distribution" wouldn't that be the antithesis of hunger for power since wealth and power go hand in hand? Furthermore, if she doesn't care about the country, why would she support socialist policies that benefit the poor?

No mudslinging required. I'm just curious as to the reasoning behind your statements regarding the likely next US president. It's undeniable that she's likely to win unless something drastic changes in the Republicn party. With the latest round of arrests of "family values" Republican senators, the Democratic party is gaining even more ground. I'm not saying that all Republicans are evil, bathroom mongering sex fiends and more than all Democrats hide money in their freezers. Clearly only some from each party spend their days alternating between bribery and debauchery. It's just that for the last few years the Republicans have been taking the brunt of the scandals. Further, the moronic war in Iraq has infuriated the American people against the GOP. Anyone who still supports it at this point is politically doomed. In fact, close association with Dubya is tantamount to political suicide at this point.

The result of all this is that the Democratic party could probably nominate Rosie and win at this point. Thus, where I would not normally have considered Hillary a viable candidate due to the extreme level of hatred for her among die-hard Republicans, I now consider her a near certain winner if she gets the nomination. Unless she does something really dumb between now and the RNC, her nomination is practically a certainty.

I hope she wins because I believe she'd be a good president. That doesn't mean I'd like to have her as a personal friend. I prefer easier going, laid back folks. If he wasn't such an arrogant, stupid jackass, I think I'd like Dubya on a personal level. He's the kind of person people like to fish and drink beer with (assuming he doesn't bring any coke along and get everyone busted). He's just not the kind of person who should ever be put in charge of anything that matters. His lack of integrity, complete disregard for the US Constitution, religious fanaticism, rock-brained stupidity and utter lack of curiosity about the world around him should have kept him at least a thousand miles from Washington. Sadly, the GOP machine completely bamboozled the American people regarding this tyrrant. Combined with the outright theft of the Florida electoral college votes in 2000, this put the drunken frat boy in charge of the country. What a disaster this presidency has been.

That's Usenet. :^)
