Ok, I am running a hodge podge of computers on my network. One is running98 SE another XP home and a third is running XP Pro. They all talk to eachother just fine, and they play nice with my router, firewall, and hub forinternet connection and networking.I haven't had to use a dialup connection for anything in a long time. My CShas a really cool on-line secure interface as does my other cellular backupprovider, but Telguard uses dial-up. Then you use your web browser to go toa particular IP on their network. It works ok, but I can't seem to makethat connection as long as the computer (the XP Home machine) I am using isalso plugged into my network. As soon as I disconnect it from my network Ican make the connection. The dial up connection works, but I can't get thecomputer to recognize that their IP/computer exists until I physicallyunplug the computer from the wall in my office. Its very irritating becausethen can't check CS activity via internet at the same time I am checkingcellular activity. I already have a DOS computer sitting back there formuch of my alarm panel software, and my windoze based alarm software runs onthe XP Home machine just fine. Am I going to be stuck with moving one of myother computers back to the remote programmer desk so I can do what I needor is there a setup solution I am missing?

I'm not interested in Edwards, but I'd be interested in seeing the pricing system structure. Where can I find a copy?

It's an "in house" program. They don't "give it" to anyone because actual equipment costs are in it. You wouldn't believe their mark-ups (even to the wholesalers). Example: A smoke card for an old 6500 retails for around $550.00. There's about $30.00 in parts on it if you cost them through someplace like Active Components (electronics wholesaler in Vancouver).

thats why I said I wasnt interested ... i meant 'in their = pricing'...just wanted to see how they set it up in Excel.

I want to set up a Configurator and a Estimator in one shot...then maybe = pull the price out right into a boilerplate estimate/contract.

So...design the system...prices it...produces written estimate/contract = all in one deal. The way mine works now after I configure/price it I = STILL have to retype it into my contract...double werk.
