Customer wants us to take over their system. The installer has apparently either given up or died and her monitoring has run out. We're pretty familiar with Napco as it's all that we install. The area rep is no help nor is the factory. Says we have to replace the board and reprogram. Does anyone have a back door into these panels. There must be as I'm sure Napco can reset to default. Thanks, Lenny

Theres no field method of defaulting the board, as far as I know.
The board itself is not all that expensive, if I remember right, about $60/70.00. It would probably cost you at that much in time and labor to send it back to Napco or to someone to default anyway.
As far as re-programing it, you'd have to do that no matter what you do.
And ..... of course Napco can default their own boards, but why would they want everyone to know how to do it or be willing to default a board for every dealer who asked? They'd likely get as many dealers angry as they'd make happy. ie, what if some dealer was able to take over one or lots of your accounts because he could defalut the board?
If you were Napco .... what would your policy be?
Where are you located?
New Hampshire
