Ringing group voicemail question

We are running MICS with Call Pilot...

There are several extensions set to ring for incoming calls along with the switchboard operator extension. After 4 rings, if nobody answers it goes to the voicemail of one of the other extensions and not the general mailbox. If the switchboard is set to ring twice then it will go where it should, but if they are all set to transfer to voicemail after a no answer of 4 rings then the general mailbox gets skipped for one of the other extensions voicemail. Other than setting the other extensions to ring more, how can we make the switchboard extensions take precedence?

Number of rings on other sets must be longer. I usually set 4 rings for first and 6 rings for other sets.

Right.Thats' the only way. I have trouble getting customers to believe that their phones can't think.
