Enabling SSH and control SNMP access

Feb 04, 2008 1 Replies

Hi, anybody experience in how to enable SSH connection in ERS 8300. I have enabled it, but when I connect to it using Putty SSH client, the error message appear "couldn't agree a client-to-server cipher (available: ) " How should I configure for this problem.

Second question, I need to control access using device manager to core switch based on IP address. I try to use access-policy but after I enable that, my device manager couldn't connect. Only access-policy for telnet work. I do not use SNMPv3.

Please Help.

Do you have the 'c' images? SSH needs the encryption protocols which are distributed in separate software image files p83c.img and p83c.aes. Strictly speaking, I think it only needs the .img one for SSH, but I may have that backwards.
