Since adding DNS1 & DNS2 IP addresses to the trusted zone in zone alarm free version I now never see any pings or intrusions (if that's the right phrase) listed on the alerts & logs screen. Before that I had plenty to look at now I get nothing.
Can anyone explain this thanx in advance.
Open a command prompt and type ipconfig /all What is listed for IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DHCP server and DNS servers?
Is your PC running Windows XP service pack 2?

You just don't need such useless information. And, probably you don't need Zone Alarm at all.

Check the Custom settings for your Internet and Trusted zones on the Firewall page. If you're allowing ping, it won't show on the log. You can test your firewall at Shields'up to see if it's secure.
