In a configuration as follows: pc-firebox edge5-linksys befsx41-cable modem Would you disable dhcp on the firewall or the router or neither? Wan ip is static for all practical purposes.

Depends on how you want your internal computers to connect. If you would like to do be dynamic then keep the dhcp up and make sure you configure your firewall close enough to make sure your dhcp is secure. If you dont want your internal comps to connect to the network with dhcp…
