I installed Sygate Firewall(free version) 2 days ago. Seems to be working fine. Yesterday I had a lost of internet slowdown. Don't know if Sygate caused this. Its working ok today.
However, When I go to CTRL + ALT + DEL to see the list of running programs, I see that one of them says 'Smc not responding'. I think this is the Sygate program. But it seems to be working ok. What does the message means? Whats my problem? How do I correct it? I can reinstall but I'd rather find out for sure what is wrong?
