Netopia Firewall + SMTP Traffic

Dec 15, 2004 2 Replies

I have a Netopia R910 Ethernet Router (Firewall) and recently switched over broadband services from one company to another. When I reconfigured the firewall it now doesn't allow SMTP traffic to come in but it does allow it out. I was left this Firewall as it was so have little knowledge of how to fix this problem. Also, VPN traffic is no longer alllowed,

Thanks

did you setup the port forward under the NAT/PAT area of the router? you would have to specify incoming port 25 -> go to internal ip of the mailserver, if it is on a private ip. If it's on a static Public ip, make sure NAT is off..

That is where the problem lies. I cant find where to apply the changes. In my case I want to tell the firewall to forward all mail to a specific internal address, but I cant find where this section is.
