Forward(open) a router port

I have a question. I play a game and I want to set up a server but, with a router attached, it doesn't work. I realize that if i was to dettach the router, the server would work but i want to forward(open) the port. If anyone knows how to do this, i would like to forward or open ports 28000 - 28100.

Thanks, Nick

Um, you might help us out by telling us what brand/model/firmware rev the router is.

Procedure varies from one brand/model/firware version to the next.

Read the router manual. Search for "port forwarding" oder "virtual server".

Since you failed to mention the brand/model of the router all anyone can do is tell you to browse to the routers management interface and using the manual you can setup port forwarding.

Good that you provided the info, but the MODEL NUMBER is what most people will want - along with any revision number.

Open the admin interface, look for FORWARDING or GAMES, and setup the forwarding there.
