WIC-1T won't work on 2620 router

The IOS on my 2620 router is c2600-i-mz.121-3.T.bin, will this not work with the WIC-1T serial interface? I bought both the router and serial module separately and when I went to install the module, it wasn't recognized.

Thanks

The WIC-1T card should be supported since the very early days of the 2600? I found the matrix for the 3600, and found 11.1(something) was supporting the WIC-1T card on the 3600.

I couldn't find the compatibility matrix for the 2600, but I know I ran some way early IOS versions supporting the WIC-1T card, certainly well before 12.1(x)T came out.

I suspect the card is bad.

What does a 'show diag' give you?

But where's the data for WIC Slot 0:? All we get is the motherboard. Even unknown cards in IOS get mentioned in the diag info, and tagged as unknown card. You *should* have a section for WIC Slot 0: no matter what if the router sees the card what-so-ever.

I'd try the card in the other slot, make sure its not your WIC slot that is bad, and try seating it firmer.

I stand by that this card is probably bad, and you should swap it/return it to get your money back.

I've got a 2620 with a WIC-1DSU-T1 working just fine. I have no idea if its similar to a WIC-1T or not.

I think your right about it being a bad card because the ISDN BRI card works in both WAN slots and the WIC-1T doesn't work in either.

Thanks Doug
