The description of the cisco 6500 10 GE module describes receive and transmit queues using the following notation:

RX: 8q8t TX: 1p7q8t

What does this mean?

1p7q8t = one strict priority queue, seven WRR queues, and eight thresholds per WRR queue

RX 8q8T is similar Q scheme on input - the 8 port card "only" has 2 * 20 Gbps to the fabric (and less than that available, since packets get tagged inside the box).
