The following syslog error message indicates an ASIC error with the WS-X6548-RJ-45 module and the recommended action is to replace the module:

SYS-6-SYS_LCPERR6:Module [dec]: Pentamak Ddr Sync Error

This message has a logging level of 6 but the severity of the error dictates that the logging level should be a 3. This problem is resolved in software release 6.4(13). (CSCef18763)

I receive a post in Cisco NetPro forum that explain better these errors:

SYS-6-SYS_LCPERR6Module [dec] QChip Port#[dec] Noc Payload Crc Error Explanation:

This message indicates an error for a specified port. The module detected a payload CRC error in the QChip ASIC. This is a debugging message for Cisco development purposes. The first [dec] is the module number and the second [dec] is the front panel port.

This message can appear when the card is not seated correctly or there is a hardware failure in the card, but it may also appear as a consequence of a software bug. The message appears related only to module 9, so what I would do is:

- Set the diagnostic level to complete "diagnostic level complete"

- Reseat module 3

- "show diagnostic module 3"
