Undefined Port Adaptor in 2610

AN unrecognized port adapter may mean that you do not have an IOS image that is high enough to support it.

Check on CCO or post the output of show version - someone may know

Undefined Port Adaptor in 2610 open original image

Have a 2610 which has, in addition to the WIC 1DSU T1, has a 1E 2W in bay 1, with both W slots empty. Upon booting the device it doen't recognize the second ethernet port.

This IOS 12.1

Passed

00:00:06: %PA-2-UNDEFPA: Undefined Port Adaptor type 55 in bay 1
00:00:11: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Ethernet0/0, changed state to up
00:00:11: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Serial0/0, changed state to down
00:00:12: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from memory by console

How to enable second port?

config seems to recognize something csco(config)#int ether 1/0? . : but can't complete the command

CCO?

IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-I-M), Version 12.1(5), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

The NM-1E2W is not supported in C2600 series routers. It is for the 3600 series.

Sorry
