I have a cisco 4506 uplink to a asante switch with both link ports have antonegotiation turned off. However, when i reboot my cisco 4506, I cannot access it anymore unless I turn autonegotiation on on the asante uplink switch port.
Any ideas?

Some of your posts have been talking about your 4503's and 4506's and referred to having a gigabit link between those two. Is the link to the asante perchance also gigabit? If so then autonegotiation is mandatory to operate at gigabit speeds (this is a change from the
10 megabit/s and 100 megabit/s rules.)
